In the summer of 2020, we began our re-cycle program.
We want your child to continue experiencing the joy of tryke riding until they age out of our program, with an adult-size tryke, by the time they turn 22. In order to do that we need to be able to take trykes back once they are too small and issue the next size up.
You signed a parent contract pledging to take care of the tryke. If you do this, then your child’s tryke can be upgraded and re-issued to another special needs child.
If you think your child’s tryke is too small, please call or email Gill to make an appointment for a review. We may ask you to send some photos ahead of time but eventually, for the full review we will ask you to come with your tryke and child to Davis or Woodland. We may be able to ‘grow’ the tryke for you or we may decide it is too small and evaluate your child for a new tryke.
Please note that regular maintenance is your responsibility. Keeping tires inflated, lubing the chain, bike shop review etc. However, if a part is broken, we are happy to help you get it fixed. Again, contact Gill, send a photo and we will be in touch. You will have to bring your tryke to us in Davis or Woodland for the work to be done, or attend on of our "Tryke Days."
